Tor-Björn (Tobi) Fjellner

Consultant, Translator, Project Manager, Product ManagerFreelancer

I’m Swedish and have most of my life been working as Project Manager and Product Manager in Telecom and IT.
I lived and worked in Moscow 2001—2004, and when I after that got a job with a Mobile Network startup in Sultanate of Oman, I started blogging (in Russian) about life in the Arabian Peninsula for my friends and former colleagues.
Later on, I migrated this blog to a WordPress blog and expanded it to three languages (Swedish, Russian and English).
In between my technical/marketing gigs, I have been freelancing as a linguistic specialist, mainly working with translations to Swedish, and in 2015 I started actively contributing to the Swedish WordPress translations. Thanks to a combination of emerging need and personal interest, I quickly became one of the global mentors for the Polyglots team in 2016, and still there.
I was also on the organizing team for WordCamp Stockholm 2016, and I have reason to believe that I happen to be the inventor of the ticket-level “Micro-sponsor”, which since then is often used for WordCamps all over… 🙂
I live just outside Barcelona, Spain.

Additional topics: Contributing to WordPress, Internationalization (i18n), Localization (L10n), Support forums, Polyglots team
