Tim Nolte
Technical Architect – Forum One
I’ve been in web development for over 25 years, I’ve been using WordPress for the past 15 years, and actively involved in the community for the past 10 years. I’ve volunteered at, spoken at, and help organized multiple WordCamps, including our local Meetup. Additionally, I’ve been a guest on multiple Torque Social Hour shows. I currently maintain 2 WordPress plugins personally, and 1 additionally through my employer. I’ve been a contributor to many plugins including WP Redis, JetPack, Yoast SEO, Seriously Simple Podcasting.
Besides WordPress I’ve also been actively involved in the OSS world for the past 15+ years. I’ve contributed to many projects including TypeScript, Codeigniter, OpenLiteSpeed web server, DDev, Zigbee2MQTTT, Laravel PHPRedis. I built and maintain the officially unofficial OpenLiteSpeed web server Docker image for arm64 platforms. I would consider myself not just a developer but a technologist, as I’ve been in the positions of Tech Support, Web Developer, Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Database Administrator, Systems Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, and Network Administrator.
I enjoy keeping up on all of the changes in technology, especially on the web front. My passion is for developing web-based applications and backend services to help people get more done. Give me a problem or challenge and I’ll jump at the chance to find the solution. The question is never if something can be done it’s just a matter of time and resources.
