Kenna is a writer and editor who leads a staff of writers and oversees all content at Content Journey.

Before coming to Content Journey, Kenna was a full-time mass communications professor and college media adviser. She still teaches as an adjunct professor.

Before becoming an educator, Kenna worked in journalism as a reporter and managing editor.

Kenna has a Ph.D. in journalism with an expertise in mental health, specifically trauma, from the University of Oklahoma. She is the author of the book “The Viewing Room: Journalists as Witnesses to Executions.”

Kenna lives with her husband, Jeff, in Edmond, Oklahoma. They have two adult children and three dogs. When she’s not working, Kenna is probably in the pool or reading. She reads 100-150 books a year, and is a self-described “word nerd.”
