I started my career tagging government regulations, using SGML (pre-cursor to XML), and then moved into working with object-based content management systems, both as an implementor and a tech sales engineer. I went to the front door: the web. Worked on portal technologies serving massive audiences, back in the early days of the Internet craze. Ecommerce was up next: spent time working on algorithms for personalization of shopping experiences, running large A/B tests to iterate and perfect recommendations for clients. And then I jumped full head back into developer platforms: from helping companies manage their APIs (Mashery) to an managing an API myself (PubNub) to providing the raw building blocks for APIs (Lightbend). But now, I’m back in the world of CMS: happy to learn more about WordPress and to see how my experiences can help.
